First horse riding lessons

So Gabe and Lacey had their first horse riding lesson on Wednesday. They were so cute. They learned How to turn the horse and back up The horse and even trot a little bit.

Gabe got a little excited and kicked the horse in the flanks while the horse was trotting. The horse started bucking and Gabe fell off of the horse. He had a pretty good fall but the ground was soft and he didn't get hurt. I was pretty scared watching it happen. I told him to take a few deep breaths and calm down. Then he decided that he could ride some more. He only walked the horse though. I was so proud of him for being so brave after a traumatic experience.

The VanGorder Family said...: Looks like they're having fun! Minnie was bucked off of a horse when she was about Gabes'age. The back of her head hit the fence so even though she wanted to get back on, we had to take care of the massive bump on the back of her head instead. Well, I have 3 children and 1 good husband. We got married in May of 99. Gabriel, my oldest is 8 years old, Lacey is 5 and Brody is 1. I spend my days raising 3 kids, running a house, teaching piano lessons, working out at the gym and Cycling. I recently became the president of the Churchill County Cyclists. Cycling is a great love of mine and it keeps moving up on my list of priorities, and has currently moved up above cleaning my house. I love to make new friends and visit with good friends often.
